Day 286: Stay Safe Minnesota
As of Jan 7, above 5.9 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in the US. In Minnesota, more than 104K doses of vaccines have been administered.
When the Coronavirus pandemic started impacting our daily lives, economy and businesses, I started a small daily Coronavirus Pandemic Watch section in early March 2020. Although there are many such daily trackers maintained by all the major news outlets for an easy access, I maintained a section based on the MDH daily Situation Update page and Johns Hopkins University Coronavirus Research dashboard.

The section got a design facelift on March 29 (screenshot above) with a simple block pattern for a more consistent display.
Because now the focus of the coronavirus pandemic has shifted from the virus identification and tracking to the vaccination distribution & administration, the daily vaccination tacking section makes sense.

COVID-19 Vaccination Watch
Using the same block pattern, I plan to maintain a daily Covid-19 vaccines distribution and administration watch section (see at the bottom of the post) using the data from the CDC vaccine tracker page and Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) COVID-19 Vaccination tracker page.
COVID-19 Vaccination Watch
According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) COVID vaccination tracker page (as of Jan 7, 9 a.m.) 21,419,800 doses have been distributed and 5,919,418 doses administered. In Minnesota, a total of 104,226 doses of Covid-19 (Pfizer & Moderna) vaccines have been administered (as of Jan 8) according MDH COVID-19 vaccine administration tracker. According to the MDH latest tally (as of Jan 8, 11 a.m.) the confirmed COVID-19 cases in Minnesota are 431,944 (out of 5,852,830 tested) with 5,620 deaths.
