The year 2019 is coming to end and the new year 2020 is arriving. When we enter into the new year most of us wish to leave behind our bad habits (eating, smoking, drinking etc). According to the TIME magazine, getting fit and loosing weight, quit smoking are the two top most new year’s resolutions. Its also often reported that most people don’t follow through their resolutions after couple of weeks.
Fitness Habits
Scientific research has demonstrated that exercises is not only important for good health that we all aspire but also our longevity. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends moderate weekly 150 minutes of activities or 75 minutes of vigorous activities. A Harvard Medical school report suggests that regular exercises helps us live longer and better by helping to have a healthier heart, keep our brain sharp, control blood sugar levels, lower cancer risk, and stay strong and mobile.
If you are active now, keep being active, whatever your age. And if you have not been active lately, it seems that it is not too late, even if you are in midlife to start exercising and reap the benefits for longevity.
